Another Birthday Card!

My friend at work has two kitties and since it was her birthday and we aren't supposed to buy gifts, I made a card from her "boys" to wish her a happy birthday along with the note cards that were made for her.  She loved it!

Birthday Card

This birthday card is for my friend Rita at work.  She loves the color red!

Shower Card

My niece is expecting her first child and this is the card that went along with her shower gift.

Wedding Card

Made this wedding card for the daughter of my husband's best friend.  The colors for the wedding were pink and green.  I love having the flexibility of matching colors to an event or a person's favorite things!

July Card Swap

This is the card I made for our July card swap -- we had to use twine and a charm.  I really like how this one turned out!

June Card Swap

This is the card that I made for the card swap I participate in with my niece and her friends in California, and with a scrapping/card making friend here in Michigan.  I actually didn't send it when it was due and sent it as a surprise instead.  My son was home from Kuwait on leave when the card was due and I just didn't have the time.  Our theme was anything that reminded us of summer or had to do with summer.  I love walking on the beach barefoot and the fireworks in the summertime.

Room Update!

Well, the painting is done and the temporary crown molding is up.  I also have a temporary work station in place.  We are saving for the desk I want and the futon/sofa bed for guests to sleep on. (While my son was home, we used a double-high inflatable queen bed that we use for camping -- it worked just fine.)  The chest you will see has yet to be sanded and painted, and I still have to sew curtains for the window and for the closet.  The last picture shows the card my kids gave me with my Cuttlebug for Mother's Day.  While helping me paint, my daughter asked how I picked the color and I relayed the story about trying to come up with something that wouldn't clash with the carpet.  it wasn't until I moved things in that I found the card and realized how much it matched the color on the walls and the color of the carpet.  Amazing, isn't it?

Sympathy Card

A friend's father recently passed away and I wanted to send a special card with my own words of sympathy. This is what the outside ended up looking like:
